Artist's Statement: After I retired from a career of teaching at Otterbein College (Foreign Language Dapartment), my wife and I began spending our winters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was then that I finally found the time and the courage to try something I had often thought I would like to do: paint.

Landscapes are my favorite subject matter. In Westerville, I find constant inspiration from my walks in Inniswood Gardens; in Puerto Vallarta, one sees nature's colors everywhere - from skies and waters to mountains flowers and rocks. Our travels to other parts of the world have also provide subject matter for my paintings.

I have taken several workshops at home and in Puerto Vallarta. At home, I attend painting classes at the local senior centers, but I consider myself largely self-taught. I just enjoy laying down paint (acrylic) and seeing the results!
