Artist's Statement: I was born in Staten Island, New York. I graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary School and Curtis High School. After serving four years in the Navy, during the Korean conflict, I graduated from Wagner College with a degree in Mathematics and from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I worked at American Electric Power in New York City developing electrical engineering computer application programs.

When American Electric Power Company relocated to Columbus in 1981, I moved with them. I retired in 1994 and decided to take up tennis and painting. I took painting lessons at the Westerville Senior Center and at Otterbein College.

My favorite subjects are structures (buildings, lighthouses, barns, etc) and three-dimensional subjects that appear to project off the paper, and I paint in both watercolor and acrylic.

Accomplishments: Robert has won some awards in art shows he has entered, but he paints mostly for his own enjoyment and to see how much he can accomplish.
