Kathryn Smithson Contact: , Kas31361@yahoo.com Artist's Statement: Kathryn A Smithson is a native of Columbus Ohio. She started drawing in high school using graphite. She took classes in school as well as adult education classes in the evening. Coached mostly by her mother, also an artist, she switched to colored pencil and pastels in 2003. She currently prefers to use pastels, after taking weekly classes which taught her technique.
Accomplishments: Kathryn is a member of the Westerville Art league, and served as its president in winter of 2007-2008. She has her artwork at Gallery 202 in Westerville Ohio where she also volunteers her time a few hours a month. Kathryn has been in several Westerville Art league shows, and a few in Worthington . She has participated in numerous Art festivals and farmers markets in Westerville . She currently sits on the board of the Gallery 202.
