Artist's Statement: The first step in my painting process is finding the subject I have strong feelings about. Most of my work is done from photos of things and places that have inspired me. Then it is a matter of bringing the feelings I have inside and interpreting them on paper. This process transports me to a place of happiness. As I worked on my close - focus flowers, I was in an awareness of the beauty and intricacies of nature as I studied and painted my subject.

I have had an interest in art since childhood, and I have been doing watercolor painting under the mentorship of Bess Alexander for the past six years. I hope you enjoy my work.

Accomplishments: I have taken several classes at Columbus College of Art and Design and with local artists as well as workshops with nationally known artists such as Cheng-Khee Chee, Sylvia Miller and Fred Graff. I am a member of the Westerville and Bexley Art Leagues.
