Artist's Statement: Youth art classes at OSU, CCAD, Columbus, Museum of Art and Otterbein College preceded Westerville High then DePauw University, where art was my minor. While teaching for the Westerville YWCA in the late 60's, I learned about Art & Craft Shows. WOW! People paid for my crafts. Some shows were like a camping vacation with tents, campfires and all. I'd found my playground!

I had host homes for shows all over the state, from Cedar Point on Lake Erie to the Ohio River with Canton Art Institute, Stan Hywet Hall, Yankee Peddler and Bob Evans Farm Festival in between. What an exciting thime that was.

Participating in Arts & Craft shows is a fun challenge. I enjoy being with creative people. That was my motivation to become a Westerville Art League charter member 50 years ago this year.

Accomplishments: Rearing 5 sons and 2 daughters with Stuart, my husband of 61 years; teaching children's hand built ceramic classes in our home when our children were young. Later I taught for the Westerville YWCA, Columbus Metropolitan Parks, Girl Scouts at Camp KenJockeyt and workshops at Arts & Crafts Shows.

Winning ribbons at our Westerville Art League Show, Westerville Music and Arts Festival, Salt Fork Festival and others was always a nice surprise.
